PRIVACY POLICY

Save Animals Facing Extinction values the privacy of individuals who visit the www.saveanimalsfacingextinction.org Site (the “Site”). This statement sets forth important information about how we collect and use personal information from visitors to the Site.  By accessing and/or using the Site, you are consenting to the collection, storage, and disclosure of data as described in this Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Site.

What Information Do We Collect?

When you sign up to any of our mailing lists, Save Animals Facing Extinction collects your email address and other contact information that you provide to us. We will also collect email addresses and other contact information provided by you as part of your use of the features and functions of the Site.  If you make a donation to Save Animals Facing Extinction, we collect the contact and any other information provided by you that is necessary for us to receive and manage your donation. Save Animals Facing Extinction uses third party providers for the purpose of collecting donations online. If you provide your donation using one of our third party providers, they will provide us with access to all of the information provided by you. As part of your use of the Site, we collect non-personally identifiable information about you through your IP address, computer settings or most-recently visited URL.  From time to time, we may also ask you to provide certain non-personally identifiable information about yourself.

What Information Do We Share With Third Parties?

Notice Regarding Online Petitions

When you sign an online petition, you understand that such petition is public information and that we may make the petition, and your name, city, state, and any comments provided in connection therewith publicly available.  In addition, we may provide such petitions or compilations thereof, including your comments, name, city, and state to national, state or local leaders, or to the press.

Cookies

A cookie is a small data file that Sites commonly write to the site visitor’s hard drive when a site is visited. A cookie file contains information that can identify a return visitor each time he or she visits our site. The data is encrypted for added security. Our Site may use cookies as a way to measure activity and traffic patterns on the Site in order to continually improve the visitor’s experience. Cookies also provide visitors the convenience of not having to log in a password more than once when visiting our Site, thereby saving time for our repeat visitors.  A browser can be set to warn the users before accepting cookies. Users can choose to refuse cookies by turning them off in the browser. Users do not need to have cookies turned on to visit our Site, but will need them to use certain customizable features on the site that we may launch in the future.

Children and Privacy

Our Site is a general audience site and is not directed to children under the age of 13.  We do not intentionally or knowingly collect any information from anyone under the age of 13.

Our site contains links to other Internet Sites that may have their own privacy policies. Save Animals Facing Extinction is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any linked sites.

Changes to Policy

If Save Animals Facing Extinction decides to change its privacy policies and practices, we will post those changes to our Privacy Policy on our Site in advance of the changes taking effect, so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we can use their information in this different manner. We will continue to be able to use information in accordance with the Privacy Policy in effect when the information was originally collected.

Unsubscribe

To unsubscribe from any Save Animals Facing Extinction list, please send an email request to contact@saveanimalsfacingextinction.org and type the word “unsubscribe” in the subject line.  Although we will promptly remove your e-mail address from our mailing list, you may still receive any e-mails that are initiated before your e-mail address is removed from the list.
